Firm Overview

The Law Offices of Michael C. Addison, P.A., is a local law firm with its office in downtown Tampa, Florida. The firm was established in 1992. There are two attorneys on staff--Michael C. Addison and Laura H. Howard. Mr. Addison and Ms. Howard provide a broad range of legal services to individuals and business clients located in many Florida counties, including Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, and Sarasota. Our attorneys understand our clients' need to effectively manage their legal costs and offer their services at competitive rates.

Mr. Addison received his degree in chemical engineering in 1969 from Iowa State University, and received his juris doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 1972. Mr. Addison moved to Tampa following a 2-year judicial clerkship with the Honorable C. Clyde Atkins in Miami. He began his practice in commercial litigation at that time, and subsequently became known for his experience, dedication to problem solving, and even-handed approach to litigation. Many of his client relationships begin with a referral from another attorney. He is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Civil Trial Law and a Business Litigation Law.

Ms. Howard joined the firm in 2008 as a senior attorney, bringing a fresh perspective on litigation and depth with her legal research skills. Ms. Howard is a graduate of the law school in Costa Rica, as well as the Stetson University College of Law. She served as a staff attorney in the United States District Court for the Middle District in Tampa. Ms. Howard is fluent in Spanish.

Our firm is a full service law firm, representing and advising clients in the areas of business & commercial law, commercial litigation & appeals, securities law, construction law, intellectual property law, and contract law matters. Our attorneys represent clients in every level of state and federal courts, including appellate courts. We conduct both jury and non-jury trials and represent clients in arbitrations and mediations in Tampa, Brandon, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Sarasota and Bradenton.
